Who you are dealing with

This service is operated by Andreas Münch. Full details are in the imprint.

Nothing on this site is for sale at the moment. Everything described below is free to use with or without an account, and no payment data is collected. Once paid plans open, these terms will say how they work before anyone can buy one.

What the service is

steamlense provides estimates and statistics about games on Steam, derived from publicly available data. The figures are estimates with a wide margin of error — see how they are calculated, including where the methods stop being reliable. They are not accounting figures, not investment advice, and not published by Valve.

No uptime is guaranteed. The underlying data comes from third-party APIs that can change or disappear without notice.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys to yourself. API keys can be revoked at any time from your account. We may suspend an account that abuses the service — in practice that means automated bulk retrieval beyond the plan's quota.

Plans

The plans page shows which features belong to which plan. The paid plans are listed there but cannot be bought yet, so every account currently runs on the free plan and no charge can arise. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to withdraw from.

Data from Steam

Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks of Valve Corporation. steamlense is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Valve. Game names, images and descriptions belong to their respective owners.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise liability is limited to typical, foreseeable damage. Decisions taken on the basis of the estimates shown here are yours — the margin of error is documented and substantial.

This text describes the service as it is built. It is not legal advice, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. If you operate this site commercially, have it checked before the first sale.
